F1 .... 2012

i'm looking forward to the season. It's on "SPEED" over here. Last year it went to HD which we didn't have, now we do. :woohoo:

I have only been to one GP, in 1983 in Montreal where Alan Jones passed Gilles Villeneuve on his home track on the last turn of the race. My mate and I were the only 2 in the grandstand cheering. I thought we were going to get la lynching! :pinch:

One of my favorite things about that event was a giant billboard above the pits advertising the company that built the bleachers, "RAPID ERECTION"

I'm a massive McLaren fan ever since my great-Uncle took me to work and let me sit in the car James Hunt had just won the championship in. I also had to go to the Technology Centre in Woking a few times last year with work - it's a real Bond villans lair
I went to school a few miles away from Frome where JB is from and my Mum still lives in Zummerset and the other family connection I have is that my Dad's next door neighbour was head of the Mercedes team at Brawn GP - he's now at Force India so we're all big JB fans too.

Anyone else noticed that Lewis Hamilton's number has been increasing by 1 each year since he won the championship? Hope he breaks that cycle because otherwise he'll end up best in a McLaren team that come third in the Championship this year.

I would like to see the Brits and McLaren win all but now I own a Renault I do not mind if Red Bull do well again. I wonder if they would do a free engine swap for my tiny 1.2 Turbo? :yesnod:
