Unwanted Highlighting and hyperlinking in posts

Why are phrases suddenly appearing highlighted in blue, double underlined and hyperlinked when viewing posts. Is it something to do with the forum itself or due to the fact I am using Google Chrome instead of Internet Explorer?

Problem solved (I think). Have removed a Chrome add on called Yontoo. No idea where it came from time to do a virus scan and run Spybot and Ad Aware

There is software out there that converts known words into links to other sites. For example, if you were to type "I am just going on holiday and taking my mountain bike" the holiday may be linked to a holiday company and Bike might be linked to Halfords.

Some websites do this to raise funds. I know if you go on .org without logging on it does this.

I take it the problem wasn't just on this site?
