If anyone isn't up to anything tomorrow morning my daughter is carrying the Olympic flame in Trafford at 0630.

In 2010 when we had the Winter Olympics here my wife's cousin showed up at our door in his Olympic torch bearer's uniform carrying his torch. I don't think the smile came off his face for weeks!

They let the torch bearers buy their torches when they were done. Are they doing that for London 2012?

That was absolutley amazing, she hadn't told me she was taking the flame from Sir Bobby Charlton and outside the main entrance to Old Trafford.

He even gave her a kiss on the cheek.

She was allowed to buy the torch - £200, paid by a friend - but they immoblised it before she could take it!
