Just received a conformation of dispatch from a large online company and I have to say it does make a refreshing change.
"We know you've been waiting with bated (and minty fresh) breath for this
email. It's the moment you've hardly been waiting for! Yep - your order has

Using : Royal Mail 1st Class

Orders sent using Royal Mail 1st Class usually arrive the next day
(depending on the Jedi skills of your local postie), but please allow up to
7 working days for the Royal Mail to deliver your order (don't worry this
is a procedural thing and very rarely takes that long).
If you are not in when Royal Mail try to deliver your order they should
leave a card ('should' being the operative word) and take the parcel to
your local collection office - the address for your local office will be on
the card. They will hold your parcel for you for 18 days, but we don't
advise testing the boundaries and waiting too long. To collect your order
you will need ID (you can't be too careful these days) and the missed
delivery card.
Alternatively you can call Royal Mail's customer service team on 08457 740
740 and request a redelivery to the same address (but there is sometimes a
fee for this).

Nice to see someone has the right idea.
About two week ago, bought a toy for one of the grand kids Xmas, should be with us in 7 days!!
