again anything missing look wise can be retro fitted no problem.

i have best of both worlds a 115 and 160.

the 115 is modded to a high spec. is very economical

the 160's are very thirsty in comparison, they are a joy to drive and have a wonderful sound :)

One of the things that I am hoping to do is upping the spec on the car that I do buy. I have always been fond of leather seats etc...one can dream.

Ain't it funny, how time slips away...?

The head gasket issue is really a bit of a red herring. In the UK you have several excellent mobile MG mechanics who
can repair a failed HG in 3 or 4 hours for as little as 300 quid. Where I live I had to do my own. It was an interesting weekend job.

Cor blimey guv'nor it's hgf again! And you haven't even bought the car yet.

In my belief HGF built the latter day MG community. Without it we wouldn't have all those mobile mechanics, sponsors, members seeking help and support and expertise on fixes that other forums just don't have. Not to mention the warped senses of humour that helps you get over such troubles.

I won't mention coolant paranoia at this stage. It's too early for that. :P

Leigh - despite HGF and all the rest of it, you will be pleased to know that my enthusiasm for the TF remains totally undiminished - I have hardly been off the Auto Sport, Road Record and Carfinder Scotland sites all day. :woohoo:

but then I prefer the gunsmoke alcantara so have them in my F and my ZS, and by the time I'm finished they will be all heated.

One of the nice things with the MGF and MGTF is the volume of parts available from specialist breakers theat will fit all the cars.

Home to black Alfa Romeo 159 3.2 V6 Q4 ,green MGF VVC and red MG Maestro T16.

MG - the friendly marque.

maybe its just mine looks or feels grubby. every bit of dirt that comes out of the vents settles on the dash and it just never feels clean. i don't like the feel of the seats grabbing hold of me.... Im just probably the kinda girl who doesnt like to be restrained....... thank goodness i met Daz and not Mr grey lol
