I have these on two of my cars, they also sell on ebay for around the same price.

The only thing about them is they have changed the design of the finishers and i dont think its for the better.

They have gone from being stepped so they fitted snuggley to the step in the t bar to just being flat so they sort of hang.

But thats just me ;)

I did speak to them about it and they said they were getting complaints about them rattling which is why they changed

think they are the same sort as i have on my mk1 if they are then you cant use a mesh windstop and ideally if you want to still have rear speakers you will need the brackets see my pics of the just fitted

Without wanting to be a kill joy, and for the benefit of anyone new to the F and TF scene, these items are not roll hoops in the strict sense: they are cosmetic devices that will in no way protect you in the event of a serious motoring related inversion of the vehicle. They are fastened by pop rivets or puny screws to the thin cheap and nasty monkey-metal that forms the T Bar.

If you want proper roll protection, invest in a roll cage that is welded to the subframe. The average roll hoop will deform long before your head.

Well, the forum is quiet and an argument is overdue.

These things are in the same category as spoilers, splitters, stripes and other paraphernalia that may appeal to the eye but perform no other function than to add weight. A splitter on an MG improve the handling? Please. Get real. A boot spoiler increase the downforce? No.

I have a set of those John and they replace the flimsy tin with a substantial girder that bolts down in 4 places and the hoops are bolted through this with 4 m12 bolts!!

So there!!

Bolts to what?
M12 bolts? With a shear resistance in opposition of the kinetics of a a one tonne car turning over? Still largely useless. Cosmetic.

It's probably my age but I love the pure shape of the car. Just as it is. I just wanted to let newbies know that roll hoops are a decoration not a safety feature.

I find I save a bit of money by just keeping the shiny side of the car uppermost. :hgf:
