On my last garage clear out I binned/ gave away some things I hung on to because it 'might come in useful one day'.......
A one litre tub of valve lapping paste. Borrowed from work in 1978. Haven't lapped a valve since 1988.
I hung on to the Chemico coarse/fine tin that I've had since 1972..... Plenty left. Remember them?
A four inch ( 110mm) single end AF ring spanner. Nothing outside heavy industry is That Big. Source of spanner: as above. What can I say: it was shiny. And looked lonely. So I gave it a retirement home.
An A Series top end gasket set. For a Midget sold in 1977. Damn kids.... Should have sold our Keith and kept the car.
An SU HS 6 twin carburettor overhaul kit ( for Dolly Sprint: car sold in 1986)
I refuse to give up my modified half inch Whitworth open end spanner: cunningly bent to remove my mates Reliant Regal Supervan carburettor. In 1973. You never know.......

It will be all right in the end. If it isn't all right yet, then it is not yet the end..
