.... Thank god.
I saw a Talbot Matra Rancho on the way home tonight. Looked like a cross between a small range rover and the Pope mobile. I'd forgotten they even existed.

According to the classic press, Ranchos are fast appreciating in value.

There's hope for us yet!

It will be all right in the end. If it isn't all right yet, then it is not yet the end..

Triumph Dolomites. I still like the look of the Sprint.
I was given my mums old 1500 twin carb SE when I passed my test, got an MG Metro after that, don't see them either.
After my mum died, my dad kept her pale green MG Metro as he didn't want to let it go, some b'stard stole it off his driveway when he was at work. Scum!

When I was little, my mum used to have a bright red Fiat 124 Sport Coupe...I loved that car...loved the way the exhaust fell off if you went over a bump more than 2 inches high and oh how we lolled as we ran back down the motorway to pick up the front wing that had blown off whilst driving spiritedly!
It was a fab little car though, went like a rocket...or it did when mum drove it anyway (mmmm wonder where I get it from!) just a shame my Dad reversed his fully loaded ERF over it! :slapme:

This is my other car. Can't remember seeing one on the road for a few years. Other than mine that is.

Looks tidy. :broon:

I had a rancho when we lived in Germany. Fibre glass body, plenty of space inside but fairly basic. The kids loved the seats facing towards the back window, so they could wave at everyone.

Not particularly safe when you think about it. The build quality was terrible. :nonod:

One old car I did like was my misubishi galant sapporo (1987).

Over the last couple of months I've seen a car transporter going through Colne with classic cars on, one week it was a immaculate Cortina MK3, a couple of weeks later a mint Cortina MK2, & the other week my favourite a lovely Escort Mexico MK 2 in Olympic Blue.

Its not only older stuff, think Renault VelSatis, Avantime, I still miss my 1st car, a talbot Sunbeam, though sadly only a 1.3 not the 2.2 lotus variant...
