MK1 HEATER KNOBS HELP!!!!!!!!!!

Hello I have got my hands on some Mk1 Mike Satur heater knobs and very nice they are too! question is how do I remove the O.E one's from my car I have tried pulling them but I dont want to damage the stalks they seem well and truly stuck on :sick:
on removing from the car in the brakers I noticed the fan speed stalk is plastic and the other two metal. I broke the fan speed stalk taking the alloy knob off the car ni the brakers and dont want to do the same to mine any ideas????

They should just pull off, they are retained by a steel spring clip in the plastic body.

But I wouldnt risk damage if I was you, just post the Satur ones to me and I will take the risk

Mike Satur advises that you should put some cord around the knob spindle and pull straight out, my Left hand one came off easily cos it was broken and left the clip behind, the other two needed cord behind. You are lucky to get MS Mk 1 type, they are as rare as "hens teeth" i got mine from MGF centre in the end. let us know how you get on please. :yesnod:
