We took a shopping trip to Manchester yesterday...
We parked up on the very top floor of the multi-story car park (great view of the city skyline) and within 2 minutes of leaving the car were confronted with two junkies shooting needles into each other in the stairwell...a couple more floors down, a gang of 10year olds smoking pot and when we reached the street level, 2 old transvestites that resembled Iggy Pop in full make up and women's clothes that would make Bet linch look classy...
Spent the whole trip worrying about the car and was so relieved when we got back to find it in one piece.
If that's city life, I'm glad we live in a small town / village - "Welcome to the jungle" sprang to mind!
:omg:

Cities amaze and dismay me in equal measure.
I worked on secondment in London EC1 for a year a while back.
All human life is there, as someone once said.

It will be all right in the end. If it isn't all right yet, then it is not yet the end..
