Has anyone else tried Showroom Shine? I bought a bottle about two months ago and have been using it ever since. It is a non water cleaner - spray on and wipe off, no need to pre wash. It gives a great (and lasting) finish. The hardest part of cleaning the car is getting the microfibre cloths clean when you are done.

Ain't it funny, how time slips away...?

I would always wash the car first, don't fancy the idea of rubbing dirt onto the paint work

Have to agree with the rooster here. Dragging muck over your paintwork is going to cause scratches and swirls, whatever the 'experts' say. :nonod: A proper two bucket wash is the only way to clean. I would only use this for removing bird poo etc asap after the event. But if it works for you, who am I to argue? ;)

Before you can wash the car you have to get the ice to melt.
I think this is Daves bucket

That's cheap for 5 litres of the stuff. Whats the prep then? Just usual bucket and sponge with soapy cleaner, rinse off / chamois then wax?

Just finished doing the Polo. Took less than an hour, not so much as a micro scratch in sight, and certainly no swirls, either.

Edited to add: the only thing that I wash differently is the windows, with ordinary Windolene.

How wrong can you be. I have used the stuff now for years, it does not cause scratches or swirls it leaves the paintwork in showroom condition. Come on lads move with the times. A two bucket wash, whatever next.

I've seen this sort of thing advertised on t'telly and wondered if they are worth a try.
I must admit that washing a car that's absolutely glopping with cack using hose and lots of soapy bubbles is quite satisfying.

I must admit that I only do the MG, my local Romanians do mine for a fiver nowadays.

It will be all right in the end. If it isn't all right yet, then it is not yet the end..
