And stupider, but: I had a hire car delivered today for my trip to Fife next week. Megane estate. Normally use a Mondeo pool car but they're all out.
Anyhow, it comes with keyless start: big start/stop button so long as the huge data pinging thing is nearby: size of a credit card but much thicker. Has the normal lock and unlock buttons.
Unless I'm missing summat,, and i probably am....how is this progress?
A huge pad, much bigger than a key needed to unlock the doors. They even provide a slot in the dash to place the device in, very like a key. Only bigger.
I know some entry systems work on proximity and pop the door when you get close. But this one needs the buttons to unlock. Unless there's summat in the handbook to programme , which I don't have.
Progress. A start button. Like my old Morris Minor. :yesnod:

It will be all right in the end. If it isn't all right yet, then it is not yet the end..

Yep, a Diesel engine. In a car, not a bread van. Or a lorry. Whatever next?
It'll never catch on.
