is there a way to turn off all the visual effects, fades, and that bottom menu bar that appears when the forum is viewed on a tablet?

it's a Samsung Galaxy Note 5.5", works fine on built in browser and firefox for android, just has the menu at the bottom. no tapatalk installed or anything, just standard.

There's no way to remove the menu per user, But it shouldn't actually be appearing on tablets, which is currently set to 7" which explains yours

Have you tried installing dolphin or opera browser? Works a charm on my android gadgets.

yup, tried all four, same result. /geek.

the only option is 'desktop view' which removes the menu, but then adds the socking great how to button on the left. :dry:

Went to change it, and discovered i had all ready turn it off completely.
Could you post a screen shot of what you are seeing.

Yeah, I have a tablet 7" , and I experience problems with that blue menu bar too. It moves with the page and often obscures what you are trying to read. That's on an Android 2 something.

interesting that the behaviour is different with Android Jurassic Park :P
i'm behind on Ice Cream Sandwich, and the stupid blue bar is just stuck at the bottom, even when the android menu bar hides.. :-?
