My sister called her Ferrari "Enzo" obviously after Ferrari's founder Enzo Ferrari.
So as as a joke that seems to have stuck, I told her my MG's name must therefore be "Cecil" after the father of the MG marque: Cecil Kimber.

"Precccccious" as in Lord of the rings!

My Gold F came to me already named "Nugget"........however I have been racking my brains for a more "ladylike" name for her and boom there it was yesterday. You may have seen Tibs' photo y'day trying to change the heat resistor thingy with just a pair of legs sticking out the footwell? Well, I said you need to be a flaming Hobbit to work on these and his friend said "that would make your MG "Your PReccccious" PERFECT! and she makes my do things against my will, like, DRIVE FAST and SPEND MONEY! :P

Not sure that its a She type name though, so may have to reconsider

Partially the colour but also it has risen from the ashes far too many times than my credit card cares to remember...

It's also the name of the original F project.

If a jobs worth doing, it's worth overdoing

Yep, only learned this recently when I was scouring eBay and saw someone was selling the original book on the F... if they didnt want something like £20 for it i might have been interested :)

BTW Andy, i think you should call yours Naomi (Campbell) as she is worth a bit and has a screw loose! haha

My TF is Mr Blue Sky so when it goes I guess I'll have to call it's replacement Mr. Night.

Back with front wheel drive and 181HP at the wheels :)

A really good book I thought - well worth the £20 (just got filed under Project Roger funds so the boss didn't know the cost!) :)
So glad to see Gerry McGovern still designing great looking cars.

Ebay + Nectar = lots of MGF points

My MGF is named "The Flying Pig" after my wife said "pigs might fly before it was finished" it has been shortened to Piggy by some, but i still call her the Flying Pig.

My MGBGT is called "Yellow Peril" cos its painted Inca Yellow and it came with that name when I bought it 11 years ago, the previous owner had always promised to give me first refusal when the time came to sell her (he had it for three years) and always refered to the car as the Yellow Peril!! :woohoo:

My Spectre TF is called Ophelia after the title track of my favourite Natalie Merchant album. Everyone describes her colour differently and she changes depending on the light...in the song, Ophelia was something different to everyone she met. It's a classy name for a classy lady ;)

This girl doesn't mind getting her hands dirty !!!

Meg is called erm... Meg! Her first owner had a personalised plate 'MEG XXXX' so it stuck... I thought it only best to keep it in case she didn't like having a name change!
