Displacer Regassing - Any interest?

Displacer Regassing - Any interest? was created by benham

Hi all,

I'm currently reconditioning my displacer units and wondering if anybody else would be interested?

This would be cleaning the displacer unit, removal of any existing gas, retrofit of Schrader type valve to unit and regassing with industrial grade Nitrogen to correct pressure and leak testing.

I'll rent a larger nitrogen cylinder if enough interest, will do them for £30 a unit. I'm going to try fitting individuating pipes to mine too, depending on outcome I may be able to offer this too.

Let me know if anybody is interested,

Regards,
Andy

Yes. Where are you? Would you be able to source spares so can just swap and reduce downtime?
Im presuming a displacer is the hydragas?

I'm in Bedfordshire, at the moment I don't have any spares (unless I used the ones on my own car, something for me to think about). My car won't be going anywhere for a month or two.

I'm thinking about making a fluid pump too so I can offer a 'vac 'n' fill' for the fluid side too.

My goal would be to offer a 'drive in drive out' hydragas unit overhaul and suspension vac and repump; maybe one day.....

Regards,
Andy

Pity your on the wrong side of the world, otherwise I'd be interested.
I've been looking at doing my own, I have a couple of spare displacers lying around to experiment on.
And I am currently sniffing around for a completely knackered unit to cut open see how best to fit the valve without damaging the inner workings.

Andy, we could share notes if you want. As I'm on the other side of the world, you won't have to worry about me trying to steal your clientele, nor I need to worry about you for the same reason.
PM me if you interested.

Hii! I´ve regassed many suspension units. I´m from Sweden and I also work with Citroen spheres. I use the same tools as on Citroen and fills up the nitrogen sphere on Mgf with 19 bar. You can mail me at [email protected] if you want some information. Best regards Johnny
