Scammonden Dam Hillclimb This Weekend?
Anyone going to the MGCC hillclimb this Sunday at Scammonden?
As I've got the day to myself I might forsake the TF & ride over on the Tiger weather permitting of course my days of watching motorsport in the cold & wet are well past!!

A tad too far for me, but if weather is fine will be going to Gurston Down on 26th, and Wiscombe Park in July. :drive:

Wiscombe is great, I was there about three weeks ago.
Lovely area, fantastic surroundings, exciting track.
I like the last bend at the top of the climb, it's a tight left hander with odd camber and as they fly up the straight towards it I've seen a few drivers brake late and either go straight on up the run-off lane or into the outside bank. If they get it right though, they often drift it right up to the finishing line.

Posted 11 years 6 months ago #118623Totally agree. Not been there for 3yrs or so, so I thought it time to make another visit. Might even B&B somewhere in the area for the weekend.stevecrx wrote:

It must be 25yrs since I've been to Scammonden in the days when I was an active motor club member not as good as Harewood as its very short but worth a look.
