In honour of our fine British summer, let's see your wet bonnets...

Ain't it funny, how time slips away...?

I used autoglym resin polish and then waxed this bonnet on 18/05/13. I haven't washed it since then. I discovered that waxing is a real mission and was too knackered to do the rest of the car. So I'm doing it a panel at a time. Should be done by Christmas.

Anyway, considering the dust in the rain, that hasn't let up around here, and using the car daily, I'm impressed with the ten day old beading so far.

Anybody else used wax at all? How did you get on with it?

Just snapped ours: I'll upload the pic tomorrow when I add the Yorkshire Moors pics.
I can't help feeling this is a bit weird/sad/whatever.

Which is probably why it appeals to me :broon:
Leigh, I use carnauba wax on the Jag once a year: it it utterly knackering!

It will be all right in the end. If it isn't all right yet, then it is not yet the end..

It started out as a shoutbox joke regarding all the bloody rain we've been having lately John. Dave polished his new bodyshopped car and.. You know the rest. :yesnod:

I can see now why it's only an annual event. I reckon it's time to give that 'showroom shine' that everybody rates a try. :yesnod:

Well being that here in scotland we get 360 days of sun I have not had the oppertunity to take a naturally wet bonnet pic...

Thankfully I went DIY and made it wet myself.

Washed with Autoglym bodywork conditioner, polished with Autoglym Ultra Deep Shine, finished with Autoglym Extra Gloss Protection, all about a month ago, then washed weekly with Autoglym Bodywork conditoner. Must say im impressed with how the shine stays stays.
