Just for interest. My good lady called me downstairs to see a programme with a cop measuring window tint. When the guys windows failed to let in enough light on the clapometer he got fined on the spot.
Tinted vehicle windows: the law;-
If you’ve got tinted vehicle windows, the front windscreen must let at least 75% of light through and the front side windows 70%.
I was concerned that my pax window was too dark after being tinted by the previous owner. Particularly as I could see that the drivers window was already sporting a 'factory tint' which would make it even darker when tint film was added. The back and side windows being as dark as you like isn't an issue legally.
Thanks to youtube I found that the cheapest way is to get the film off by heating it with a hairdryer prior to peeling it off. Then I used Bensewells wd40 trick to get the glue off. It still took two hours grafting though.
Here's the before and after pics.

A bit late now, but hairdryer and lighter fluid also works. That is what I use to remove pickguards from guitars when I am replacing them.
Ain't it funny, how time slips away...?

+1 on the good ole Ronson lighter fluid. Good for sticky label gunk removal.
Meths is also good as it doesn't attack most plastics. Also provides a refreshing mid-job tipple.

It will be all right in the end. If it isn't all right yet, then it is not yet the end..
