just fitted a cone air filter,What now ?

Hi all
Ive just fitted a cone air filter To my F. is there anything else I need to do regarding cold air,as the engine bay gets hot, will this affect this filter.
Im scared of doing new things and I am worried that this might not be a good thing Ive done Please help

Hi there if you have fitted a cone filter you took your old air box out
USE the pipe[ s ] that were connected to the old box and fit one or two under your car facing the front to pick up colder air put one very near the cone and the other just into the engine bay it's self

When you say the other pipe just into the engine bay it's self ,where abouts would you recommend ?

If you fit one pipe put it 2-3 ins from the cone and put the other end tied to the sub frame
If you fit two put the second one just into the engine bay

just made the cone strait so no lose off power
