Isn't it daft that a man has to wear a skirt to circumnavigate political correctness in order to cool off his Betty Swollocks.

What a mad world we thrust upon ourselves. Here's the 'news link'.. Click here.

Is there anything really daft like this that amuses you or gets your goat?

The Academy where I work has a 'no shorts' dress code for delegates and staff both male and female.

There is not a ban on skirts or dresses: I won't be the first to try a skirt for work however.

(I save that for the weekend) :yesnod:

And, to be honest, if you're sitting down then shorts don't really alleviate Betty Swollock Syndrome.

If they're that bothered then they should drop their kecks once in the cab and drive in their trolleys. Or go commando and leave an interesting sweat mark on the seat.
Being careful to replace their trousers before venturing onto the platform. :broon:

Of course... Excuse my Sassenach ignorance. But aren't kilts generally heavier tartan material? Or do you have summer frock type kilts too?

Yeah they're a pretty heavy weave, however even the lightest of breezes helps circulate the air. ;) .... but they're surprisingly warm in winter as well ... :-?

All in all a great piece of attire. :broon:

As ma wee granny was Scots I'm entitled to wear the Sutherland Clan Tartan.

Not yet been tempted, but I do enjoy the odd drop of uisge beatha.

Whisky to ye sassenachs. Water of life. Well named. :broon:

If they can stop the drivers wearing shorts can they make them wear undies?

You can actually buy cheap polyester blend kilts now. Lighter and cooler in the summer. Very handy for going to rugby matches and such, where beer and stuff may be spilled on you. And they dry clean, easily. Casual Kilts

Ain't it funny, how time slips away...?
