In my opinion Haye is the better of the two overall. As you know it can easily all come down to a single flukey punch. I also believe that neither is in the same class as the majority of American heavyweight contenders.

My current 'pound for pound' worlds best boxer would be Floyd Mayweather Jnr.

Yes i must agree floyd superfit, smart and up there with the best in history when it comes to pound for pound but a pacquaio fight is long overdue all the time mayweather been badmouthing him they could have gone 12 rounds together, pacquiao fighting in november if he wins the fight with mayweather might be on.

:nonod: Each to their own, but I've always found it amusing that so many people will pay so much to watch a couple of blokes punch each other in the ring!

There hasn't been a decent American heavyweight for quite a few years now and as for "pound for pound" Andre Ward is head n shoulders above anybody at the moment. His only problem is that his style doesn't put bums on seats.

You're right. Although I did specify 'contenders'. ;)

And my money's still on Floyd. If him and Andre ever fight, you have a bet awaiting you here. :yesnod:

Mayweather jnr would never fight Ward.

A, because of the weight difference and B, because it wouldn't fill a stadium.

Mayweathers next fight against Saul Alverez is a different matter. It will sell out and it will also see the the end of Mayweathers unbeaten record.

Mayweather v Paqman will never go ahead.

Boxing is a controlled sport that requires discipline & skill, being a proffessional is a full time job with a vigorous training and strict diet plan.It as risks like other high level sports, i grew up boxing from 7,nothing special below average at best but it kept me fit and 95% of the people i trained with in gym had respect for each other.I sparred with people from all walks of life builders, accountants, solicitors etc and it was always finished with a handshake.
Perhaps i am old fashioned i dont promote a fist fight to sort problems out,but me and my mates on the council estate i grew up regularly sorted a dispute out with a dust up and that was it the issue was finished with, twenty years later a youth got stabbed to death in my borough last week in walsall and my wifes cousin recently got a pint glass in his face needing 23 stichtes for looking at somebody the wrong way.

Sorry, My bad. But I suspect you may have missed the joke, maybe it's just a case of two cultures divided by a common language but here in Oz the expression "punching another bloke in the ring" may or may not have anything to do with boxing.
The word "ring" itself has an alternative slang meaning, which relates to the fundamental orifice.
So the alternative context implies that that two blokes in question are bottom enthusiasts engaging in their preferred venereal activity!

A few quid is usually enough motivation for most fighters.

I think that, once the motivation is up to an o££er they can't refuse, they'll fight.. eventually.

I got it the first time around Cobber. Your dry gay humour wasn't totally wasted.
