Nissan 300ZX Twin Turbo Manual finished at last

Anybody else owned one of these beasts?.After three years on and off of throwing spanners across the workshop various temper tantrums engine out twice £6000 spent i have finally finished my manual 300zx twin turbo rebuild.I can say it as been a testing time,and i have had it back from bodyshop after undergoing a full respray.I have never worked on such a frustrating engine you cannot move a spanner or socket hardly anywhere a very technical engine for its day the VG30 DETT.I finally got it just right with help from ZEDWORLD it pulls like a train and can safely say i have had and own some fast cars but this is scary even with wet and dry traction control I fighting it on opposite lock. To be honest its been a pig but eventually worth it.I putting it away as i havent the time to fix it when it eventually breaks again and does it Eleanor thing.Initially i bought it with left hand side turbo seals blown,excessively smoking thing is the engine as to come out just to change turbos.When they run right they are awesome but like the majority of 90s sports car not many good ones left.

BEAUTIFUL bud, both of them.
I owned one for over six years and only sold it because it had a bit of rot (but had the panels to fix), had a blown turbo (but had new turbo's) but just could no longer justify to run her as an every day car, so she had to go :nonod:

Yes jeff and jamie,linda nice family i not been over for a while they moved the unit over coleshill last i heard on grapevine he going abroad to set up a tuning shop.Jeff without doubt as the best zed in the country.

A engine and manual box i removed from a zed i bought for spares.



Once stripped down the v block and heads are quite small its everything attached thats the issue with space.
