Just checking in to see that everyone is OK. ECK is doing fine, as am I. 5 weeks to go till the nursing course starts. I am starting to think of "winter protection" for the car. Any suggestions? Waxoyl maybe? Reproof the hood?
Ain't it funny, how time slips away...?

Hi Dave, as you know I waxed my car and come winter I'll probably do it again. It's a pain to do but it presents quite a good barrier to the elements. Maybe consider one of those car covers if it's going to be parked up for some time. Thanks for saying hi. :broon:

bottle of fairy liquid all over the car just before it snows. Jobs a good un. Oh and for the roof maybe imperial leather.

The car is going to be a daily driver throughout the winter.

In that case, keeping the roof down when in use tends to keep the rain off it.
I found this was quite good for 're-proofing' the soft top. There's some frozen pics at the bottom of the first post.

Dave,
Not much call for them down here, but if i lived where you do I would consider a set of cheap rims and winter tyres. They are cheap to buy and will improve your road holding by a factor. Additionally, you can store your nice alloys until the spring and not have to worry about salt corrosion and kerbing if you have a bit of snow.
All the best
