He lived 3 months after being told he was untreatable.. (was told he had a year)
In those three months he wrote a 'bucket list (things to do before I die) and he had 18 things on the list.. he managed 4 of them..
So... whats on your 'bucket list' (lets keep it to the top 5?)
Mine are (no particular order)
1) Stelvio pass in a Ferrari 458 Spyder
2) walk on the great wall of China
3) See the Grand Canyon
4) Nurberg ring in my MGF
5) Ballon flight over Niagra falls

Now with less of a lughole and a better diet I am plodding through my bucket list and adding things as I go.
Last year I drove the Nurburgring for the first time and I'll be back there next week in the F.
I'll be driving the Stelvio and Vrsic passes too.
I intend to do a new mad motor every year or so and thrash it around Europe.
Seize the day!
Oh, and I live in Cornwall John Pell (sorry)

I have a great job, a great boss and the most beautiful wife in the world - so theres 3 I guess, all I want is for my children to grow up proud of the values we have tried to instill and last but not least, to live long enough to see them start their own families then my life will be content...
I suppose we all have one in common somewhere on the list - "please don't fail today HG" (unnecessary humour there)

Get both daughters through college / uni
Then when they're gone.... Get a kit car project going.
Would like to go on a gum ball / banger rally
But would really really like a z car mini cooper.
I've been quite lucky so far as me and Mrs Ben have been on 3 holidays a year for ten years spending our wages so been to a lot of places.
My fave was Cuba... Loveley Jubbly

After a series of ops and loss off sundry bits like a lot of intestine, bladder etc I now live life with colostomy and urostomy bags. I don't let that get in the way however.
The point is that when I turned 50 we realised that life may well not last that much longer, so we ticked a few off our list in the couple of years following. At the expense of our retirement savings, but you can't take it with you....
So far ticked off:
Own a Jag
VIP package to Monaco GP with full hospitality package
First class flights and 5 star hols in Antigua, St Lucia, Barbados, New York etc.
Track day in a Vanquish
Taxi in Lancaster bomber 'Just Jane'
VIP visit to McLaren tech centre.
Etc.
Sue has shared most of these and had a few of her own, including a track day in a race spec Elise.
In October I'm flying in a Tiger Moth over the Derbyshire dams where the Dambusters trained.
Still to do:
Own an Aston Martin.
Las Vegas and Grand Canyon.
Visit the Queen Mary in Long Beach.
Lottery win and do some good with it.
Walk one or both of our daughters up the aisle: both in their thirties and not wed !
Be Holly Willoughby's personal bra technician. This may well not happen, :nonod:
Carpe diem.
Mainly now skint but mostly fulfilled. :broon:
It will be all right in the end. If it isn't all right yet, then it is not yet the end..
