Well I have just changed my oil, funny how the system says it takes 4.5 lts but you only get 4 lts out. Still it's done for another 9 months.
I used Castrol Edge 0-40 this time, got it off ebay £33 with postage

Did you drain the oil filter?

Well, I put 4.5 in, get 4.5 out. No burn or leakage.

I jack the rear up, remove the wheel to improve access to filter etc, then lower the jack right down with the wheel off to get the last drops out. I take my time and let sump and filter drain whilst enjoying tea, beer and fags. :broon:

It will be all right in the end. If it isn't all right yet, then it is not yet the end..

Good luck! :woo2: Don't forget something to wipe up the inevitable spilt oil with.
Tightening the sump plug is also advisable. (Not that I've ever forgotten to do that, oh no not me. :nonod: )

How often should the 2004 160 be serviced fellas?
My owners manual says every 25000kms, but that just seems so high?
I'm getting it done in Cairns Nth Queensland on Monday after only the initial 4000kms I have done in it just to get the book started at 30,000, and was then planning on every 10,000kms after that.
I have to drive nearly 300kms to go to a British Car specialist as there isn't one in Townsville. I use to be in Cairns up until May so its nice to get back to the wet tropics as its so bloody dry here.
Stay in a flash hotel over night and make a trip of it.

Best wishes all.
