17" wheels
Hi all
I have for some time been thinking of getting a set of 17" wheels for my TF160, seen some on ebay £399 + £25 p/p and put 205x40s on them or 45s.
I know it will put the speedo out but the speedo is 3% out now and these will just put it right so 60 mph will be 60mph and they will lift the car up by 1/2 an inch which will help as it is too low on the xpower springs for my liking. Any thoughts on this subject
PS well have a good set of 11spokes to sell

Would you have to make any adjustments to the wheel arches etc for clearance's sake and suspension travel?
Ain't it funny, how time slips away...?

No they shouldn't have to mess with the arches. 17" wheels will rub on full lock but suspension should be fine unless it's really low.Dave Baird wrote: Would you have to make any adjustments to the wheel arches etc for clearance's sake and suspension travel?

17s do rub on full lock so try not to do it too often - although if you want to eliminate the rub you can indeed push the liner in a bit once youve heated up with a gun (or a hair dryer if you have time)
