In the last few years there have been a couple of Summer meets over at The Boat Yard near Preston, but in the main the meetings tend to be at the same venue. There must be a few MGOC evening meets you can get to in your area? The MGCC North West is not as well catered for with only two meets near Manchester as far as I know of, but this one is the MGCC MGF/TF Register meet. I think a few people were keen to set something up closer to your area. Maybe you could start a meet in your area and liaise with Simon who is the NW area rep for the MGF/TF Register.

you don't have to be there at 8 as we leave at 10:45 most times

I joined the MGCC,the list of events I was sent are all way south. Do you have to be a member of the MGOC to go to one of their meets? I might just carrying jumping on whichever I can get to. I planned to go to the boatyard this Sunday but life got in the way!
I could certainly look at setting something up, I expect Simon would have some advice. Thanks
