It was at 18 quid offer t'other day: today at 15: maybe an error, but I bought a couple. :yesnod:
Not sure if it's a national offer: worth a check though.
I recommend Snow Grouse: Black Grouse is a bit tasty too. They evaporate/leak very quickly though.
Sue bought me some soapstone whisky cooling stones: chill them in the freezer: cools the drink a tad with no dilution. :broon:
Neat is the only way, though some purists recommend a drop or two of the water that was used in the mash to release the bouquet I've read.
My favourite malt: Lagavulin. Second: Laphroaig. Live the peaty ones.
My dream job: I did some work at Lockerbie. The hotel had over 200 malts. Hic.
A moment of sadness: at the Lockerbie hotel a lady guest asked for a large Glengoyne..... With orange.
It will be all right in the end. If it isn't all right yet, then it is not yet the end..

A far cry from the awful stuff we used to make here in Oz, such evil concoctions as "Bond 7" and "Corio" these weren't for drinking, they were to be used as a drain disinfectant or as a degreasing solvent!
:nonod:
I wouldn't even use them on an open wound but there were some hardy and desperate souls that actually drank the stuff!
:omg:
I do always keep a bottle of "Johnie Walker" red or some such, on hand for open wounds and/or visiting heathens who insist in polluting their drink with carbonated waters and such like.
Bourbon is not permitted on the premises!

I'm currently drinking 3 fingers of 18 Y/O Chivers with just a dash of still water. (From crystal Scotch nosing glasses I imported from Scotland. Its apparently the official Scotch glass!)
On my display cabinet (Scotch) is one of only 130 bottles in the world of 17 Y/O GlenLivet, and in my cabinet are 4 bottles of the MacKinleys 1907 recreation of the Scotch that was found under Ernest Shackleton's hut last year. I've seen the spectrum analysis of the original bottle and the recreation and it is virtually identical. Even comes in a recreation of the 1907 British Antarctic Expedition box with straw and a cork.
And it taste surprisingly good!
I'm even going to get a bottle of Ice Berg water from Canada once they become available in Oz..Only $10 a bottle so why not? You're dead a long time!
Cheers everyone. :pop:

Look out for my car parked outside. :broon:
I watched the documentary about the Shackleton Scotch: fascinating stuff, especially the recreation of it.

My favorite has to be Laphroig, would love to drive the MG up to the distilery to visit my 1sq ft of land and claim my free dram.
(Paula, if you read this - get planning my 50th birthday surprise)
I knew I was destined to own an MG
