Hi
Just wanted to give you a heads up on some mgf items that were lost following the theft of my van 13-12-13 from mount road, poole . It is a white 2.0 petrol LWB ford transit reg L686 MHJ. The van has yet to be recovered/spotted and contained the following mgf parts for a current restoration project-

* pair of near mint mgf leather seats, cream with claret piping, embossed mg headrests
* pair of mint mgf doors with handles and and all glass & internals in platinum silver mnx
* o/s headlamp unit
* pair of black mesh style doorcards
* brand new battery

I will try and post some pics. Please be aware on the small chance they are offered your way. If you are able to spread the word around any mgf related avenues in would be very grateful

Many thanks
Andy

I'm up the road in Bournemouth, will keep an eye open for the parts and the transit.

You tried G. Sait Ltd scrap yard, or Avon Forest scrap yard, Charlie Trents, might have stolen it just to weigh it in.

Hope it turns up.

Pretty sure Saits and Trents were on my original list when I rang round. Will double check and try the other one though, thanks. I'm off work Monday so will check a few places in person. A lot of scrappers or ford places suggested it possibly being stolen for export or the 2.0l petrol 'pinto' engine. I'll be checking eBay weekly too. Cheers for keeping a lookout. It is really tidy for the age (42k miles) and has black steel wheels and black tinted side windows all round, reg L686 MHJ

Let's all have an eye on the usual online platforms - ebay, gumtree, donedeal etc.

Cheers folks. Now we have a national watch on this theft, it gives me a new idea for the final price game. You have to guess how long they will get in jail. Winners will get a bar of soap to drop in the shower. :lol:

Is hgf a defence in court? That'd be a new one. :P

Seriously, wouldn't it be just great to track the items and the scrote down for some justice. It would make a great story for the press. :yesnod:
