Ian McCulloch- Touchstone
It is with a heavy heart that I have to inform you that Border Patroller, Ian McCulloch sadly passed away on Sunday 5th January 2014.
Ian was a true gentleman, always up for a run out, a meet up, a natter and a hug. He attended many Border Patrol runs in his immaculate trophy blue TF as well as local weekday meets (for the shiftworkers, skivers and retired gentlefolk of this world!), race days and get togethers over a drink and a bite to eat at The Boatyard.
Ian was quick to help others, and I for one am pleased that a small part of him will continue to live on in Ophelia as he kindly sprayed my console, binnacle and vents for me after I made such a mess of the job first time round!
Ian's funeral will be held at Agecroft Crematorium in Salford at 1pm on Monday 20th January.
He will be sadly missed and I'm sure you will all join me in sending our deepest condolances to his wife Julia and their family.
Rest in Peace Ian

RIP Ian!
I got an insight into a fraction of Ian's life today, the service was a true celebration of his life. The heart warming story of the 'stag do' was hilarious. Ian's farewell left me, amongst many I would say, feeling up lifted rather than on a downer... What a lovely family too, may God be with you Ian, cheers
