Hi everyone,
I've been using the MG for a few months now and one of the drawbacks is the lack of door pockets. There is room for a slender solid plastic 'bin' and I was just wondering if anyone had tried to fit a pocket off an existing car that was an acceptable fit? I'm sure that someone here has got an answer to my query! :broon:

There are car specific pockets available but they are very very :woowoo: expensive.

I think even I could knock up that bottom example for a few quid. It's just fake leather and a bit of elastic!

I've been eyeing up the door pockets on our Rover 25 but haven't got the bottle to take them off to offer them up on the F yet

I reckon they might fit with a bit of fiddling. Finding a pair might prove problematic. Mini or Metro ones might also work.

Could really do with some input from a breakers yard. Someone who has seen a lot of different makes/models. I would take a trip round our local breakers, but it closed down a while ago! :(

Got 'em in Meg and they are about £100 I think now - IF you can find them!

Was thinking of maybe mocking some more up as I think they may be NLA to be honest. Never done any GRP work though.

I've got a guy making me some side vent scoops out of glasfibre, I 'll see what he thinks .

Pockets would be useful, there are a couple of Mk1 Golf Gti ones in the attic, and I've got some Metro ones somewhere , I'll dig them out, and see how they look, hopefully a bit better than my upside down ZR cubbyhole....but I'm still working on this !
