Bit odd though - batteries normally deteriorate over time then suddenly die...... if it charges and starts the car OK, doesn't lose charge overnight etc then it's unlikely to be the battery. Have you checked the battery feed wires etc to make sure there are no loose connections, and the earth straps are not corroded on the bodywork connection?

For the voltage threshold to drop low enough for SRS/ABS warning lights to come on the alternator must not of been charging, even with a flat battery once the engine is running and the alternator is on station you will get 13 to 14 plus volts, check with the Torque App if you have it.
I had an intermittent charging fault which turned out to be a poor connection on the charging warning light bulb, this was at the capless bulb holder that goes into the instrument cluster and connects to the copper strips. Sometimes when you switched on the ignition the charging light bulb would not come on, when this happened the alternator would not come on station as the bulb forms part of the circuit to create the initial EMF in the alternator winding's. I had to bend out the 2 tabs on the bulb holder then it was fine.
Could be an intermittent fault on the regulator in the alternator caused by heat or water (they all fail prematurely with this)
Was the alternator new, S/X or second hand?

The symptoms you describe are exactly the same as those when my alternator failed. Tat was only two months old as well (reconditioned) and actually burnt out completely.
Could it be early signs of alternator failure or a circuit fault as Badger suggests above?

My first thought was alternator followed by a poor earth.
