Drove 450 MGF miles today from Ross-shire to Lincolnshire with the roof down...the only risk of getting wet was from an over exuberant windscreen washerer ahead of me. So that's a record roof down distance for me!

The other record, somewhat sadder, that despite seeing dozens of soft tops on the drive, not one of them was an MG. I can also confirm that MX5s suffer from SRF (softtop release failure).

I almost needed sunblock! Chilly though through the mountains.

Returned home last night. Total journey 6 miles shy of 1200 and nothing broke. I managed 1124 roof down miles and only put the hood up when hit by a heavy squall near the Drumochter pass (but managed to drop it again 40 miles later). Normally I feel knackered after the long drive home in the usual car but strangely I don't after driving the MGF - what else drives so well for so little money?

Added a picture on the drive from Lincolnshire to Norfolk...at this point after 700 miles the car still looked clean apart from all the dead flies.
