I think we've discussed this before but hey....

There are some musicians on this forum, so what sort of band of band could we put together d'you reckon?

Me: many instruments handled well through to badly:
Guitar: acoustic: reasonably good also electric. (Gretsch and Fender)
5 string banjo: fairly good.
Mandolin: average.
Flageolet ( penny whistle) good
Harp (mouth organ) good
Bass: average to crap.

Wanted: good bass player, vocals,( female preferred though male considered) keyboards, drums.

The sound: A crossover between Led Zeppelin and the Incredible String Band through Emerson Lake and Palmer acoustic sets, Strawbs and Sandy Denny.

Young people need not apply. Unless they have the passion and have heard of the above.

It will be all right in the end. If it isn't all right yet, then it is not yet the end..

A great start Beth. I'm getting a Battle of Evermore vibe already.
The treble recorder gives us S to H......
I feel Beck's Bolero as well.

Hell, we're even well on the way to Tubular Bells: anyone got a ...... Grand Piano? Glockenspiel?

It will be all right in the end. If it isn't all right yet, then it is not yet the end..

I wouldn't put any weight behind my treble recorder playing, I may have done 3 months... Such a shame!

Sorry, just checked your time frame:
60. Stand By Me - Ben E. King
61. Revolution - Beatles
62. Surfin' USA - Beach Boys
63. Glad All Over - Dave Clark Five
64. It's All Right - Impressions
65. Blowin' In The Wind - Bob Dylan
66. Will You Love Me Tomorrow - Shirelles
67. Georgia On My Mind - Ray Charles
68. Dazed And Confused - Led Zeppelin
69. Gimme Shelter - Rolling Stones
70. Bring It On Home To Me - Sam Cooke

With the exception of Bob Dylan and Ben E King I couldn't already play it.

Would have to strike the Beach Boys I'm afraid. Also the Beatles. Never been a fan. :coat:
Soz.

Roadhouse Blues: The Doors
Ramble On: Led Zep
Wish you were here: Floyd.
Jack of Hearts: Dylan

And for the classical solo interlude......for me

Vivaldi Guitar Concerto in D. Which I finally mastered last year after about 20 years :woohoo:

It will be all right in the end. If it isn't all right yet, then it is not yet the end..

Arf Arf.

Actually, one of my fave films: American Graffiti, features ole Booker T on the musical prelude to the drag race between the deuce coupe and the Bel Air near the end of the film.

Atmospheric, as they say.

It will be all right in the end. If it isn't all right yet, then it is not yet the end..

Oh I think the classical turn would go down nicely. Impressed by the Vivaldi, I top out with a little Bach, Air on a g string.
