Well today was not the most successful track day I have ever done. 170 km/h into the hairpin and overcooked it, I managed to slow enough to nudge the Armco at about 30km/h plenty of damage to deal with.

Ooooo look, a pirate F !

Considering how long you've been racing you have managed to avoid bumping her for quite some time.

Adds character, although silver duct tape may look better .... just a suggestion.

Actually the first time I have done anything other than mechanical. A case of my balls being bigger than my talent this time.

I haven't had a really good look yet but it should be fixable. Pity it's my daily drive though.

What is the spares situation like in Oz. I know they are an expensive car over there so it's never going to be a cheap fix. If you need any help from this end don't hesitate to ask.

Parts are a bit tough to find out here but fortunately after stripping it down today, things don't look quite as bad as I first thought. I'll still need to find a new front bumper support bar and the drivers side head light, indicator and fog light, but I think I can save the front bumper, drivers side guard and bonnet. Time to learn how to plastic weld.

Thanks for the offer mate, I may well take you up on that.

Oh and a very kind mate has insisted that I borrow his MGC to drive to work until I can fix the F.

Craig.

Good hear it is not as bad as it first looked.

I bought a pair of headlights a while back and was thinking of doing a headlight modification but I reckon the drivers headlight would be more useful to you.

So from the parts needed;

front bumper support bar - Is it possible to get this fabricated?
drivers side head light - sourced
drivers side indicator (amber) - needed
drivers side fog light - needed

I don't mind organising the postage for these items if they are sent to me.

I can't offer any parts and other on here are far more knowledgable than I regarding repair advice, but.........

Paul's offer of help has reinforced my faith in humankind. And it takes a lot to stir my heart of flint :yesnod:

Good work fella, and good luck with the repairs Bacchus.
I can offer a bit of advice, come to think of it: the one in the middle is the brake.

It will be all right in the end. If it isn't all right yet, then it is not yet the end..

Might be able to help, with front bumper support. I will check it out tomorrow.
I definitely have a amber blinker, the little clip is busted.

That's great Davem, those clips break on a lot of the indicators, like you say fixable.

OK we're getting there, just need a fog light and we are almost ready to go.

The T-Bar, we never leave a man behind. :woo2:
