Our Austin Princess was first registered in August 1975 (P reg) + the 7 years; so 1982.

Looking at the votes it seems that our cars are subject to "mid life crisis purchases" :pop:

Although I fall into the midlife crisis age bracket that's not my excuse. We were meant to be going to the States on holiday this year but it fell through so decided to blow the money on something we could have fun with here.
Was thinking of a bike too but my wife wouldn't go out on one anymore so 2 seater convertible it was.
Think it's as much that at this stage of life I've now got enough cash to start thinking about just having fun with it.

We've been having mid-life crises since our late twenties, with motorbikes, various sports cars etc. :yesnod:

Strangely enough so have I ... I kinda drifted from bikes to MGs between my teen's and 30's .... nearing a decade of ownership now. :)

I was kinda fortunate to be able to own a Midget in my teens. The car that is, not Sue, though I was landed with her too.... Got it cheap as it was a bit of a dog but my brother helped do it up. I learned so many improvisational 'skills' on that car.

My older bro currently has a tuned Midget: 1380 cc, high state of tune etc.
I recall him taking the p**s out of mine all those years ago.... What goes round etc.... :yesnod:
