Anyone been watching the TT races on ITV 4?
Brave and mental. I was on the IoM a few weeks ago and drove the circuit in a car. To remind myself of what comes later..... Frightening.
2 killed so far this fortnight. Commiserations to their families.
35 years ago I did a spirited Mad Sunday on a a Triumph Daytona cafe racer. Against the Ginger Midget's advice. And frit meself to death. At a fraction of race speed.
So, do we continue enjoying the vicarious pleasure of watching truly scary bike riding and support a unique race with 100+ years tradition whose riders keep coming back despite being aware of the dangers. Or call for a ban on a series that is potentially deadly?
I know where I stand. Any thoughts?

It will be all right in the end. If it isn't all right yet, then it is not yet the end..

The former rather than the latter.
I'd have loved to have gone when we had our bikes but it's too expensive!
I knew some lads that went in the 90's and bought an old knackered transit for pennies, loaded their bikes into it and all chipped in to buy one ferry ticket, left the van in Douglas harbour car park and did their bit on the island, when they came back they unloaded the bikes at Holyhead and left the van on the docks with the logbook and keys on the seat!!
I watched the sidecar race the other day!!
Complete and utter NUTTERS!!!!
But good to see a Yorkshire outfit win the big one.

Senior TT tonight on ITV 4 at 9pm.
1000 cc bikes, 6 laps, always a spectacle.

I went to the TT races in 1977, fantastic racing and wonderful atmosphere.

Podiums again for Guy Martin but the win eludes him again.
Now there's a chap I'd love to have a beer or two with! :yesnod:
