Am I a grumpy old man or ... do weekend drivers get on your wick as much as they do mine :bang:

I thought they weren't supposed to come out until Sunday.

1) They sit in the outside lane of the motorway doing 65mph or in the middle lane doing 50 mph refusing to move out of the way for the 48 cars queuing behind them :bat:

2) With just them and you behind them on an otherwise empty main road they stop without warning to let someone out of a side road. :slapme:

3) The traffic lights change to green and they take 30 seconds to move off.

4) When turning left off the main road they slow down to 2mph before making the turn.

I witnessed all the above in the space of 15 mins today..... .... and deep breath, and relax.

All the above plus:

Garages with Spa shops where people park next to a pump when there is separate parking for shoppers and who then have a leisurely shop, bunging up the checkout when all you want is to pay for petrol.

It will be all right in the end. If it isn't all right yet, then it is not yet the end..

I don't think this is a weekend driver type phenomonom. I'm not sure what causes it but it's regular.
As is the big 4x4 pulling into a lane without looking or indicating. I had a driver pull into my lane as I was passing, I blared my horn as there was time for nothing else, I swerved past him and he spent the next few minutes bouncing his front end and blaring the horn behind me until the lights changed then he pulled alongside me and sweetly apologised, what is that? What is that about? I don't understand that behaviour. I was so intimidated I couldn't find a gear and yet there he was beside me saying Soz. Fecking barsteward. Men are pricks.

"Men are pricks?"

Anyone for sweeping generalisations? Or gender stereotypes?

It will be all right in the end. If it isn't all right yet, then it is not yet the end..

 When did they change the Highway Code to read

'Signal - move straight to any lane you wish without looking or giving any consideration to anyone else on the Earth'

Strange I've never had one of those cars fitted with the magic indicator of God given right.

Yes, I apologise, you poor marginalised men. Us women are so limited in our opinion of you. We just have no shame.

Here are my comments again.
I had a driver pull into my lane as I was passing, I blared my horn as there was time for nothing else, I swerved past him and he spent the next few minutes bouncing his front end and blaring the horn behind me until the lights changed then he pulled alongside me and sweetly apologised, what is that? I still don't understand why he intimidated me and then apologised like that.

He noticed you're driving an MG and thought that it probably gives you enough unwanted grief, he didn't need to add to it.

It could have been he initially thought you were another man that had beeped his horn, which some appear to interpret as only having one meaning - ' YOU have a very small member, you're an infertile and spend most of your time playing with yourself ' ...after seeing you were a women he apologied for his behaviour because he was convinced his was bigger than yours, .... if you had one, ...which you don't, obviously, I don't think ....you get my drift. :woowoo:
