Justifiable first place and a justifiable second for Alfa too. Being a member of both I agree with the top 2.

alanrt54 the Americans may well not have seen it but the Canadians sure didn't miss it!

I'd say as far as the situation in Oz is:

The BMtroubleyou brigade isn't exactly what you'd call friendly! So they wouldn't make the cut

There aren't any Teslas here, and only a few DeLoreans, so neither of those count here.

But theTriumph TR-7/8 mob would have to be up there in the top 3, with MG and Alfa.

The Austin 7 club are a good bunch.

The Jag crowd are a mixed bunch, they come in 2 types the true enthusiasts and poser tosspots! So they'd come in about 10th

I'd agree with the AMC crew being friendly as I've had a few.

I've had nothing to do with Mazda MX5, Saab or Jeep enthusiasts so I couldn't say much about any of that lot.

As for the VW beelte bunch, they're scary wild eyed zealots, in my experience

In general here in Canada I have found the multi-make clubs to be the friendliest, be they British only like "The Old English Car Club of B.C." or clubs with a hint of variety like, "The Langley Mostly British Car Club". I had a good reception from the local Hot-Rod clubs when I had my ZA-Magnette, and they seem to like the MGF. I currently hang out with the Cars and Coffee crowd which consists mostly of Porsche, Lotus and Lambo owners and get along fine with them. Our local MG club is siamesed with the local Jag club which has resulted in a strange group of cliques within the club which doesn't work for me, or many other locals it seems as a second Jag club has formed along with a Pre-1955 only MG club.
With the increasing number of MGFs arriving on our shores it won't be long till we have our own MGF club locally, but I don't know if I will join as I don't think I would like a club that would accept me as a member! :welcome:  :coat:
