So I checked up on my latest F and discovered that it was number 5006 of the production line of straight 1.8s and 5194 overall, got me thinking, who has the oldest F on here?

It seems that only 790 white ones were made, can't be many left! :-?

Oldest F?

The way they drop to bits, it must surely change on a daily basis? :tada:

:coat:

It will be all right in the end. If it isn't all right yet, then it is not yet the end..

Having witnessed first hand some of the results of the MG Rover economy drive I wouldn't hold out too much hope of many TF's lasting longer than many of the older F's. Also a future collectable the F is always going to be the more desirable version in the long run.

Back on topic, if you have an early F check your paperwork and see if you have a lower VIN than Mickle5 005350.

This got me thinking of my original mgf and the familiar i wonder where is it now :drive:

a quick dvla check came up with:

Date of Liability 01 05 2012
Date of First Registration 23 01 1997

so i'm presuming it's already departed this planet

I have done birth certificates for loads of early Fs, John Collins of Little British Sports Cars has VIN 000268, Patrick Warner has 1400 but best of all is Epsom Member Derek Edwards who has VIN 000089

There are still a lot of early Fs about.

Just been on the Register and it looks like one of the early ones, VIN No 000258, originally owned by Rover Group as one of their 'SAC' registered cars, may have to be written off. :nonod:
