Tyres seem to effect the TF's but not the MGF nearly as much.
The problem here is that the MGF was built in Britian ..................................................... now if it had been built over in Und fatherland it would be adifferent story and it would have been wonderful like her TT that required night on half a grand to fix the message centre ................................. but it's wunderbar.

Posted 9 years 8 months ago #156562Oh dear.. I've reviewed the RX8 and I wasn't impressed. Not one little bit! Considering its the newest car in the fleet that's gotta hurt, right?

Let's face the RX8 has no place in this as it's not a two door sports car at all but a pretender. Just from the photos the interior is dreadful................................ but then i find most "Modern" cars pretty dreadful inside.

Posted 9 years 8 months ago #156622Duncan, our MX5 owner, has reviewed the Z3.. considering these cars are quite similar in nature; long bonnet, open top, roadster, etc, which one do you think he prefers?

Posted 9 years 8 months ago #156671We've got a review in, for the Mitsubishi FTO.. and the main question is; how good can a, nearly, 20 year old car be? Turns out it can be pretty good, if it's been completely restored. But how does it drive.. well, that's something else..

Posted 9 years 8 months ago #156759Bruce has driven the Audi UK TT and, for some unknown reason, compared it to his Mazda RX8.
Or maybe not. But he does use the word 'wankel' at least FIVE times!
Anyway, seems he does, sort of, like it. In spite of some serious brake issues. Which we hope Becky sorts out before the track day later this month.

Posted 9 years 8 months ago #156865A couple of the guys had the pleasure of popping over to Geneva for the MotorShow earlier this week. In case you missed ALL the Facebook posts and Tweets, there's a little write up here, with a 'few' of the 700 odd pictures they took. Enjoy!

Posted 9 years 8 months ago #156883The latest scores are up! And there's been some changes!
With the results of the Concours d'Loomies at Loomies Cafe last month we've seen the Mitsubishi FTO take second place from the Honda S2000, and the Mazda RX8 continue it's climb back up the rankings overtaking the Mercedes-Benz SLK.
That said, there's not much in it.. only 8 points between the FTO and the S2000 and 6 between the Z3 and the MX5!
In other news: I'm still last
Our next event is a non-points Challenge at Blyton Park Driving Centre thanks to Lotus on Track.
You can read about the scores here:

Posted 9 years 8 months ago #157047So, what's it like driving the (currently) winning car? Well, that depends on which driver you ask, but for Alex (FTO owner), it certainly seems to have been a pleasurable experience. But, as you saw from the points, not everyone felt the same.
So, how bad (or good) is the MR2 really?

As I have already said if the MGF was Japanese they would all be over it as wonderful if it was German even more so. Won't go into how simply dreadful most of the so called sports cars are in this..........................
