Cold knob

It will soon be that time of year again when the gear knob goes ice cold has every one got their Knob covers ready !!!! :woohoo: I cant find mine ( my knob cover that is) pmsl

I changed to the upmarket Momo leather knob.

Is it that time already? :whistle:

Surely Innocent Smoothies (there are others available) will have their knitted ones in the shops

Get a decent gear knob and bin that atrocity of an alloy one.

I find the old MGB or Midget wooden ones feel nice to the hand and being wood don't freeze your hand and fingers. They are also lighter and shorter making the gear lever just that bit shorter. Both of my MGF's now have them fitted. I do have one of those dreadful alloy ones somewhere as well as an original Leather MGF one that way too tall for my liking...................... Plus what may be a BRM Alloy and leather one. That one was in "Elsie" when she arriver here.

If you have a kids or neighboors with kids; ask them to get there loom bands and make you some nice cover.

Ahh actually I have two pairs of driving gloves only one of which has the string back feature. Good for hot sunny days IMHO. I found when we had the Cherokee the sweat from my hands was detrimental tot eh leather steering wheel. In the Rover 75 it has a Aubergine personal line interior with Aubergine coloured steering wheel for which it seems touch up dye in impossible to find. the gloves protect the wheel. The wood gear know of course is a better solution to the gold hands and daft covers:-

The gear lever has been shortened 3/4".

IMHO it just fits in beautifully. As I am not a basketball player with huge hands I don't need a gear know the size of a small football.

But If it's really cold I just leave the TF in the garage and drive the ZT, with its heated seats leather gear knob and climate control,it's slightly more expensive than a new gear knob but I'm worth it
