Regular readers will be aware that I'm getting a company car, after a period of resistance.
Well the old Jag wasn't getting any younger, so I took the plunge:
Head has to rule heart as there is a benefit in kind tax cost for personal use, also a personal use levy. So the XF Sportbrake was out... And practicality had to rule.
After demo-ing the fairly limited choice from Lex, we chose a Volvo V40 D4 RDesign Lux.
Which basically means leather, cruise etc. first new gen Volvo I'd driven.
It arrived today, and despite what you may feel about Volvos, or modern Euroboxes etc, there's nothing quite like a new car! 34 delivery miles on the clock. And smelling more leathery than Nanny Whip' s store cupboard. Or so I hear...
Very pleasant to drive, I must admit and very comfy so far. Not done a long journey yet.
Thought about a big motor, but really don't need anymore.
The faithful old Jag of the past 8 years will be likely going to we buy any gas-guzzler.com.
Sailed through her MoT yesterday. Formality, unlike other cars in our ownership....
Thanks for reading the ramblings of an old man. Again.

It will be all right in the end. If it isn't all right yet, then it is not yet the end..
