Emissions light.
Coming home from Hampshire today and stopped for ten minutes, when I turned the car on again, the orange light on the dash didn't go, its happened before and I found it was a loose fuse so I just popped it back in. I will check again for it but could it be anything else?

When I got MIL trouble with my Jag I bought an OBD reader for about 30 quid.
However, with the baffling array of engine management systems on F and TF things ain't so straightforward apparently. All this MEMS mullarkey. Another shit aspect of ownership. :yesnod:
So someone will be along soon to give you more constructive advice. :broon:

It will be all right in the end. If it isn't all right yet, then it is not yet the end..

Hi
When mine did this it was the cam sensor as V V Cs are more prone to cam sensor readings but as John says it could be one of 4-6 sensors but I would look to the lamber/ oxygen sensor first.

Unless it is a MEMs3 car then one of the things the MIL light doesn't do is the emissions. MEMs3 has an additional Lambda sensor after the cat which measures the exhaust gases and compares them with the pre cat sensor. Non of the other MEMs has this.
The MIL light just tells you that it has a problem with one of it's inputs that needs looking at. The codes need to be read to find what the problem is.
If the MIL light is flashing then it is a dangerous fault and you should stop the car immediately and get assistance. When I say dangerous, I mean potentially dangerous to your wallet.
