I stuck our Jag for sale on Gumtree. Recommended by a daughter. It's free . What's to lose?

Several badly spelled emails allegedly from Gumtree, claiming a sale. All I need to do is send all my bank card details to secure a sale. Yeah right.

Mails come from Thailand.
Amazingly...... I didn't respond.

Beware!
Gumtree. Should have known better.

It will be all right in the end. If it isn't all right yet, then it is not yet the end..

Thailand you say? Obviously a bit of fraudulent phishing going on there.
Everyone knows that the only emails that can be trusted come via Nigeria! :bust:

Note: one of the above statements is not to be taken seriously. Guess which one

Try putting your Jag on Motors, we put our Passat up for sale on the site and sold it the first week.

It's free to advertise for private sellers including sticking on a few images. You have to register with them but you don't get your inbox full of crap emails.

Worth a try:

I have sold lots of things on Gumtree lately and generally it's been great. Recommended a friend sell his car on Gumtree and it sold within three hours.

Problem I have had has been the large number of complete and utter timewasters from the UK, asking if an item is still for sale you reply yes then ..... nothing? What's that all about?

So that they can back to you in 6 months to see if you'll negotiate on the price.

It's Ebay's way of covering all the bases, it's their budget brand, so to speak.
