Electroplating

I have recently become very interested in vintage razors. Not straight razors, but the double edged safety razor that you remember your Dad using in the 60's. They are cheaper than MGFs, but often come in varying states of disrepair, particularly with plating loss. These razors were plated in a variety of coatings from nickel and chrome to gold. My question is: Does anyone on here know of any plating companies that they think would be prepared to re-plate a safety razor? When I receive them, I tend to give them a clean (Kitchen Cream Cleaner, toothpaste) and boil sterilise and then a polish using Duraglit or similar. This tends to work pretty well, but eventually I am going to come across one that deserves to be refurbished, or, in this case, re-plated. I have had a nosey around on Google but as I don't always fully understand what I am even asking, I thought that perhaps one of you good people might know. Any help would be welcome.

Ain't it funny, how time slips away...?

some near me that do plating, they have done old cars, motorbikes, air rifles, antiques etc. I'll get some details they are a nice bunch to talk to.

Try Autosol polish, far far better than duraglit!
