fuel filter

bought a fuel filter from euro car parts it said it fitted my TF but on trying to fit it, the feed pipe from the tank to the filter would not screw into the filter
So got on to euro parts for a refund and they said NO as the part was not resalable

Surely they should refund you if it wont fit?

I bought a fuel filter from fleebay and had a similar problem.The screw thread was way to short it only went on two or three flats.The seller gave me a full refund as the part did not fit correctly.I ended up buying one from my local motor factors store.

Sale of goods act, not fit for purpose, accept nothing less than a refund. It's the law.

Why oh why do people not buy the genuine Bosch one that fits or the Rover branded one (also Bosch) buy cheap pay twice!!!

I do wonder if it is because the local motor factors don't stock them.

I would apply more pressure on ECP, it they have supplied the wrong part it is their problem.

I have now phoned MANN and they says it is the right filter also
So at a loose to know why it will not fit. Did rover/mg change the fuel line connections on the 2003-2004 model?

Well I had another look at this filter [ in the day light ] as before it was 4pm and I can now see the problem, the thread on the filter only goes 2/3 of the way in so of course there is no proper connection
Still need to get my money back though
Have put the old filter back on for now
