clock and oil temp gauges
Just a quick one
Has anyone changed the bulbs in the oil temp and clock thats in the centre console??
Ive recently changed the dash bulbs to blue and would like the change these bulbs to blue to match.
what bulb type are they ?? Do they require soldering?? Is there an how to for this job??
Cheers

There's a
How To
given ng details of the bulbs in Fs and TFs. The oil temp and clock bulbs are on page 2.
I think one is a BA75 and one a T5 in the F and both are T5s in the TF but you'll see in the How To.
They're both push fit so no soldering required.

There is a how to but I don't think it includes this tip.....
Instead of taking out the centre console to change the bulbs just carefully lever out the centre air vent for access to the bulbs.
Easy job!!

Sorry forgot to mention this is for a tf ... so is it just pop the bulb / led out and fit new one?? Im glad theres no soldering needed my skills aint to good lol
just had a look at the how to and it does say that the tfs clock and oil temp gauge are both t5 286 leds which is great because I bought a bag of them when I done the dash bulbs ... may go for a play and report back

Thought the tf had led bulbs which need soldering.

Well not as easy as I thought ...
took the centre heater vents out and no bulb visable so stripped and removed the clock and oil temp , took the 2 torx screws out the back of the gauges but they wouldnt split so get inside them so gave up and put it all back together
so the answer is no they cant just be removed and replaced. So thats the end of that unless I can find some that already have blue bulbs fitted
