Spotted what I think is the most expensive tf for sale..£16.000........ :woo2: ...well advert says £16,000 on home page, but when you click on the car for more info its £16,995............it is a 2005 mgtf 160...........with 36 miles on the clock............advert states its never been on the road.................cmon who yer kiddin where was the 36 miles from...perhaps its been on a tread mill............anyway who would buy a new tf in 2005 and garage it for ten years..............it would of been a good investment reason perhaps if it was the last british tf off the longbridge production line....but it is not..........and when you have paid your 16 grand.........how much would we buy any car.com pay for it?.........my guess is that they would offer the same or thereabouts as my 2004 mgtf £750.........not that I would sell it ........but got a price for a bit of interest.....I think these cars are great, but cmon folks I would be naffed off if I was relieved of 16,000 for the pleasure.....and I guess you can buy 8 or more 160 tfs in good condition for 16 grand and still have change for the odd head gasket repair :hgf: .....How much was this car new?,when it was offered with a rover warranty......and if yer went barmy overnight after winning the lotto, would you ask the dealers to throw a head gasket and a drivers window mechanism in the deal just for good measure?.....{what no hardtop included}.and when you put it into perspective look at the difference in price between the car and others on the forcourt....apart from looking ok like new its no more of a car is it?....take a look at it here...and give me your idea of its true value...http://www.trophycars.co.uk

Well it seems some are happy with them :-? ................................................ however I have noticed a few coming up on ebay bearign the Trophy Cars sticker. There was a 75th Anniversary that sold on ebay the other month ............................................. I wonder how much Tropht Cars stung them for it ??? :slapme:

In January on the drive through the Derbyshire Peaks with some fellow MGf/TF owners I was following one bearing the Trophy Cars sticker which had a TT Mk7 fitted knowing their price scales I cannot say I was impressed with it's condition. Of course as I cannot afford to look at their cars becasue of the inflated prices it's not a problem that I need to think about ;) :P

I got lost on that run Kevin  I remember hearing the TT,they sound great till you put one on your own car :yesnod: :coat:

If I won the lottery I would pay 16 grand, but that really is the only way.

My 36000 160 is three years older and a little more used looking  but it was £1700, and that was from a dealer.

Realistically maybe 6K?

Ahhh yes I remember that three cars I think it was got lost after we hit traffic at a roundabout in a town. I breifly considered a TT Mk7 but I am afraid that the lack of information on performance gains or loses plus what i had read/heard about support if there is a problem put me right off. Have also hear good and bad about Toyo Sports. Am aiming to be back in the Derbyshire Peaks for the september charity run this time in the 75th Anniversary Edition. What exhaust seh will be wearing has yet to be decided but her original is past it's best and it's just too damned quiet for my liking. Am used to a sports car sound from my F's. "Blue" has a Mild Steel box by GTX ...................... whom ever they may be and "Elsie" the VVC has a Bosal one. On the trip last tiem I was in Blue the 97 MPi.
