I'm still here!!!
Morning folks
Very conscious that I've not been around recently - sorry.
The TF is still going strong :drive: and still giving lots of smiles to the gallon. We are heading down to the North Yorkshire this weekend so if you see us give us a wave.

I love driving the North Yorks Dales, an aunt used to have a place up there where I've stayed many times.

Had a great weekend.
Stopped over in Gretna and then to Barnard Castle via Haltwhistle, Alston and Middleton in Teeesdale.
Only saw two other F's/TF's but we exchanged waves

ah gretna green ....how people remember it for weddings.....and on a informative programme it said gretna was formed along with other villages to house workers producing cordite during world war 1 to help with depleting stocks of cordite....which at the time was called the cordite crisis.......the government established a secret factory by the solway firth...code name moorside..there were four factories...the biggest 9 miles long...near the modern towns of smalmstown and gretna which were created to house workers 20,000 women and 9,000 men...800 tons a week were churned out and the cordite made there hair yellow and there teeth fall out......factories were demolished in 1918

When the kids were younger we used to stay with family in Kendal, a regular day trip from there would be a run up to Gretna to buy a Scottish doughnut, we would also pop into Carlisle to the Eddie shop.
